No worries. Thanks for all your help so far! ^_^

One thing I was wondering, was should the feed have an extension when I put it in the db?

you don't have to have an extension on it, the feed as you listed is a perfectly fine format to put it in.

Where are you at in the installation process, is there anything in particular that you are having difficulty with? If you have installed it (attempted to at least) and you are not getting errors all over your forum, or if it is still working at all you are very close. Most times, when people foul up this installation it will render the entire site useless.

What is your level of experience modding or with phpBB and php in general? This mod is a bit complex and is not intended for those with no background doing it. I would highly advise doing smaller, easier mods to get familiar with the process and file structure of phpBB if you have not done so already. Please post more information and I will attempt to help you in any way I can.

Well, I've re-completed all instructions, so let's see if it kicks in and starts to work.

the mod requires additional files than what is provided by wordpress or phpBB. Copying the new files into the specified directory gives the scripts the new files they need to work correctly. Once these new files are in place, you will need to edit one by one the files as instructed. Doing these edits changes those files so they know how to work with the mod and what to do when the mod requests information etc. Simply follow all the instructions one by one, being very careful to do each step exactly as instructed. (also make sure to back up any files before you edit them) if all else fails, you can restore the original files to get your site working again.

As I said previously, this mod is not an easy one and really should only be attempted by those with experience doing this type of thing. It doesn't matter if you use Fantastico to install it, just make sure you know the database name, username and password so you can correctly configure the modification.

Also, there are edits that need to be made to your specific theme files, don't forget to do those as well. I hope this information is usefull, try it and let me know if you have any errors or questions, just remember to be careful, take your time and BACK UP EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU EDIT ANYTHING. :)

you can edit the files any way you like, as long as the end result gets them onto your server. I like to open the files on my site and do the edits using ftp, others prefer to edit a copy on their computer then upload all the changed files at once. It really is a matter of personal preference.
